Location: In the library
Activity: Ahem.
On that rare moment your studying, and you happen to graze the surface beneath your desk and experience the smooth surface suddenly offering resistance to the flow of your hand. The friction is unusual and yet you want to know what has caused this sudden blockade. The fingers, then start to claw its way through the mass, and within a few seconds the results of the finger's analysis hit your brain.
Disgusting or fascinating, gross or interesting, its the hard work of someone chewing away at that tiny bit of rubber for a few hours, and finally giving up, only to realize that there was no way to dispose it off discretely. Here there was need to touch the gooey substance and with a sly look around, strategically place it on the underside of the table. Not directly beneath your location, for fear that someone would check (give me a break! Why would anyone look under the table where your sitting?), and slowly move your hand to the area beneath the table on your left. Gently placing the substance, and with another quick look around getting back to the civil life.
