Hope is a bad thing!

One, is never satisfied with what they have. Thats why they invented two, many and more.

"The old jungle saying" or "The way the world moves around"or "The song of humanity"

Call it what you want, its what drives us forward, towards this never ending sense of "finding ourselves". Its a way to improve our lives, working towards those removing those small quirks or towards improving material gain or to just be in a state of "being". 

With no disrespect to people fighting for their rights or political freedom or standing up for what they believe is right, in the Arab countries, in Egypt, in Syria, and in other places around the world, I find that anarchy in the streets against the government is a fruitless endeavor. 

Case in point: Egypt: Hosni Mubarak was ousted, for being whatever he was. He was then replaced with Morsi Mohamed, and yet we find ourselves in a situation that has come full circle. Was the right alternative chosen. Maybe at that time, it seemed a viable alternative. 

What has changed since then? 

What does this mean for governance of a land? Of any land today?

People in power around the world seem to have the same problem and thats why we have the so called Arab Springs and the Tahrir squares of the world today. I sincerely believe that in a democracy, authoritarian rule or even in a dictatorship, "the government must no fall". If it does, it just gives people hope and a purpose to fight for things. To quote from The Shawshank Redemption, "hope is a good thing", but here "hope is bad thing to have". It instills a false sense of purpose, that the hope of a better government will be established if the present is removed. That is just not the case!

We are not equipped to do better than what already exists. We just measure the present with the past and hope for a better future. We can not tell what the future holds, and by challenging the norms, and  bringing down governments, we are just driving that nail into the coffin, hoping that the next one will be better, while the story just unfolds in the same way. 

So what do we do?

We live. We let live. We each live our own lives!

and if we have to stand up, then it should be for the sake of living....

(Truth be told, I have no clue as to, what we should do. I believe we need to stand up against injustice. But I also don't want the win at the cost of anarchy in the streets. But hey, thats just me.)
